It's a world where commercial drones have their own airspace and remote Operators monitor crops, watch over cities, and protect endangered animals. They also spy for anyone who pays. AIs lurk behind the scenes, students have to earn their worth, and corporate interests tighten their grip on the planet.
Available at Amazon, and all eBook outlets.
In this first book, Marisa and her Game Club friends discover that their simulated drone flights are actually real, and that their corporate sponsor is charging triple fees for having the students work, spy, and even kill. They misbehave to get social media buzz going, then use their viral fame to expose the corporation’s misdeeds, with a little inside help.
This second book of the Drone Club series finds the Club dealing with the aftermath of their successful revolt against Unifly, their corporate sponsor. They make friends with a rogue AI while the corporation gradually takes back its hold over the students, then the AI has its own problems, and the Club makes new plans even though they risk getting discovered.
In this third episode, Marisa and her classmates begin internships at Unifly and the Drone Club joins the international club community. Some friends start their own company, Stevin, and get their liberated drones ready to fly using a mobile system. The AI and its digital assistants become safe once again, and it expands itself while its Club friends prepare to graduate.
Stevo and Devin step out of their school’s Drone Club right before the pushback against their evil sponsor comes to a boil. The pair have their own plans for a future, and they take the ugly van out on the road to start making it happen. It’s an adventure with a hot payoff.
